Morocco’s local Google search, Google.co.ma appears to have been compromised earlier today. Screenshots shows the URL as it changed.
The site was compromised for only a couple of hours, before being returned to normal. It is suspected that the hackers breached the Domain registry for .ma domain names, and targeted the Google domain name.
Yahoo search is serving 20% less searches from a year ago, according to Hitwise. Google accounted for 72.74% of all US searches during the month of April, up from 67.93% a year ago. Ask and Msn Live also saw drops of 5 and 9% respectively.
